Clarion Hotel Somerset - New Brunswick

Great hotel with great amenities like free wifi, fitness center, and 24-hour reception. I still remember how the staff helped me return my forgotten headphones. I highly recommend staying here. I'm coming back for Christmas.

I booked a room with a comfortable bed, climate control, flat-screen TV and a microwave oven. The service was great!

I stayed at Clarion for one night and felt it had potential but needs some attention. The location is right off the highway. Checking in was quick, but I had a bit of trouble understanding the front desk clerk, who didn't communicate clearly. The room itself could use some upgrades-a good deep clean is overdue. I noticed dark spots on the curtains, off-putting. The TV barely worked, and the lamp between the beds was out. The shower handle was broken, which took some fiddling to get it going. I could hear a lot of noise from the hallway, including doors slamming and a crowd outside late at night. A positive note is that I called the front desk about the noise, and they acted quickly to handle it. The breakfast situation at Hooters next door is interesting-definitely not what I expected for a hotel meal. My stay was okay, but I think they could do better in terms of cleanliness and maintenance.

I really enjoyed my stay, especially since the bed was comfortable and clean. The friendly reception made me feel welcomed. However, the breakfast options were lacking and could have been better.

The King Room with Sofa Bed offered a decent space for staying solo, and I appreciated the friendly front desk staff. The phone in the room wasn't functional, and I had to deal with a lock that required lifting the door to secure it properly. While convenient dining was nearby with an Italian restaurant, the room's cleanliness left something to be desired, particularly with dirty glasses and limited coffee supplies.
